Podcast: Conn and Krishna Discuss Audio Production Techniques
By Conn Ó Muíneacháin on Sep 24, 2007 in PodCamp, Irishblogs
I’m going to lead a session on audio production at PodCamp Ireland next weekend. By “lead” I mean that I’ll get the ball rolling, offer my thoughts on the subject and try to get an informative discussion going among the people there. I’m sure we’ll have a lot of expertise in the room on the day, and my goal is to see it shared.
To that end, Krishna and I recorded a podcast a couple of weeks ago, to talk a little about the importance of audio quality and how it can be achieved.
I’ve talked about this before. This time I’m going to learn from past mistakes and try not to be too technical about it. My point is this: good quality audio is not difficult to produce. Neither is it expensive. And if you want help and advice there is no shortage of people who will be only too pleased to do so.
Next Saturday is a perfect opportunity. The session I refer to will be a practical one. We’ll start by talking, and move quickly to showing. Bring your questions and answers. Bring your equipment as well, and we’ll put it thought its paces!
This podcast features a song by Kilkenny artist Clive Barnes: Danville Girl. Clive plays Cleere’s Theatre, Kilkenny, the night before PodCamp, on Friday 28th September. Check him out on MySpace!
