So I usually send text messages if I am in a hurry from my Blackberry.

The same goes for sending Tweets via my mobile. so I was thrilled to have access to Twitterfone when it was initially released.

Today Pat Phelan has made my day by launching version 2 of Twitterfone which now allows you to listen to Twitter messages, reply to them and even send direct messages via Twitterfone.

If you are not already registered, head on over to Twitterfone.com and after you have registered you can:

Dial 1 and to listen to your last 10 Tweets

Dail 2 when you want to reply to someone

Dial 3 to send a direct private message.

We talked about Twitterfone on this weeks podcast - you see we are so proud to have such a cool application developed by an Irish entrepreneur and his team.

Did you know: Twitterfone is currently available in 18 countries and over 20,000 people have signed up to Twitterfone since it launched in May 2008?

Want to see how Twitterfone 2 works in action - here’s the video:

How do you write your blog posts - online or offline?

One of the things I found when using Internet Explorer was the fact if I was online then I had some occasions where IE would freeze on me and then I lost my draft post unless of course I had saved when writing (which I often forgot to do).

I now use Firefox®, and also Windows Live Writer to write my blog posts off line for most of the blogs I author or am a contributing author of. (Thanks to Neville Hobson for sharing this tool with me).

I find it a great resource for drafting blog posts, adding photo’s and then uploading them - I do a final tweak online before publishing my blog posts.

This last weekend I came across another tool that UK blogger, Chris Garrett recommends, ScribeFire, which is an extension of Firefox ®, and lets you drag and drop formatted text from the Web into your blog, post entries, take notes directly through the Firefox® browser. (Do be remember if you are copying text from sites other than your own to give attribution though won’t you.)

You can find out more about ScribeFire here if you want to explore it as a toll for writing your blog posts.

What other tools do you use to write your blog posts?
